Golf Greens "Fore" U of Red Bank, New Jersey designed and installed a beautiful 1,800 square feet indoor putting green in association with the world’s largest casino, Foxwooods Resort and Casino in Meshantucket, CT on November 10 for a one night event.
The casino sponsored and invitation only event, featuring Jim Thorpe, long time PGA and Senior PGA tour player. Mr. Thorpe is a Golf Greens "Fore" U endorser.
Invitees had the opportunity to win cash prizes of $1,000, $5,000, $25,000, $50,000, and $100,000. The 30 by 60 feet indoor putting green was designed and engineered over a wooden sub-base, with plywood over the sub-base.
The event has a huge success, leading to Golf Greens "Fore" U receiving commitments from the Casino and Resort for future golf events in their 25,000 square feet ballroom, and other locations within the world’s largest casino
Local Licensee Mike Larochelle and his staff worked through the night to ensure the success of this key event for Golf Greens "Fore" U.
"Although we are dog tired, we did what it took to meet the criteria of this project on time and on budget" said Mike. "It has been a long time since I pulled an all nighter, but I couldn’t be more pleased with the results and future opportunities we will enjoy."
"One of the keys to getting this opportunity was that we had installed our T-Line Driving Turf at Lake of Isles, a New Top 50 Course on Golf Digest’s yearly rankings. Troon Golf manages this 36 hole golf course that Foxwoods owns. Due to our performance during the installation and after installation follow-up, the Head PGA Pro, Mr. Archie Cart recommended that we be involved with the Jim Thorpe event."
